01604 385330With each year that passes technology continues to evolve, leaving no end to the possibilities in store for us in the future. This year we saw AI elevate Google’s Search game and saw the value in short-form video content. So, it’s safe to say that 2025 is likely to be another transformative year for digital marketing.
To help you stay competitive as we enter the new year, I’ve broken down the most influential trends for 2025 and what we think about each of them.
In this day and age, a digital marketing trends round-up wouldn’t be complete without the mention of AI, we’ve seen the technology transform the industry in many ways and the next year will be no different. Advance AI targeting will provide a more detailed understanding of audience preferences, behaviours, and purchasing intentions. For digital marketers it’s going to be vital to ensure you’re utilising AI to its full capabilities, as this development alone can result in better ad performance, a higher return on ad spend, and improved conversion rates.
As mentioned above, 2024 highlighted the value of short-form content in the digital marketing world, with it becoming incredibly popular. This won’t be going anywhere in 2025 – short-form content is going to continue to excel and (if they haven’t already) now’s the time for businesses to get on board or risk being left behind. In a world where attention spans are fleeting, consumers often favour content that will inform or entertain them quickly.
If you’re wanted to stay ahead of the curve, then it’s time to get comfortable with voice search and adapt your strategies accordingly. Playing an important role in digital marketing throughout the last year, the importance of voice search is only going to grow throughout 2025. Particularly as it integrates with other technologies such as AI or machine learning to provide a more personalised voice search experience. This is definitely a trend I’d recommend watching over the next year.
VR is an exciting concept as it allows you to the opportunity to blend digital experiences with the physical world, creating moments that aren’t easy to forget. But I’m particularly interested to see how this develops in 2025 with VR marketing set to play an important role in capturing the attention of your audience and building brand loyalty. When implemented and executed correctly I can see this becoming an integral part of marketing strategies moving forward.
I will keep banging the drum that personalisation is going to continue to be vital to digital marketing strategies. By creating custom experiences, you will be able to increase customer satisfaction and therefore loyalty, which can lead to an increase in revenue too. As we continue to see the developments in data analytics it’s going to be even more efficient for businesses to collect and analyse this information and effectively deliver marketing personalisation within their strategies.
